The McCallum Bflat Polyoenco Chanter is ideal for playing with other instruments (brass band, folk group, orchestra etc.) in the key of Bb. To avoid confusion. If you are looking for a 440 Hz pitched chanter, then this is the correct chanter. 466 Hz Bflat (as shown on a tuner showing key of Bb) is equivalent to 440 Hz concert pitch (as shown on a tuner showing key of A) .
The McCallum Bflat Chanter has a completely new internal size, new throat, new reed seat and hole pattern. It is round holed and very easy and comfortable to play.
